In this video I introduce you to the Top 10 Websites for Free Pictures for Your Blog. Good pictures are important because they liven up your website and blog posts. They also help breakup large groups of text and just make your site look more appealing. These websites use either the Creative Commons Zero license or a similar license that allows you to use the images on both personal and commercial projects. Pexels This is one of my favorite websites because it has a large library of high quality pictures. The website is well designed and easy to navigate. They add new pictures daily and you will find that they have a picture for almost every possible topic you would be writing about. Unsplash This is another website that I often visit to get free images. They have a nice website that is easy to navigate and the pictures are all high quality. You can use the pictures on your website or any project you’re working on. Pixabay Pixabay has over 920,000 pictures, vectors and art illustrations you can use. The website is easy to navigate which is important because I don’t like wasting time trying to find the right picture. StockSnap Is another well-organized website where you can find amazing stock photos. It’s easy to navigate, has categories to help group their images. StockSnap is made by Snappa which is an alternative to photoshop. Their library consists of over 30,000 stock photos and hundreds of high resolution images are added weekly. Burst Is another great option to look at. They have a nice library of free images that you can use. The site is easy to navigate and you can sign up to receive the top pictures of the week to your email address. Burst is owned by Shopify GRATISOGRAPHY This is a project by Ryan McGuire from laughandpee.com. He takes all the pictures himself. Ryan is a very good photographer who takes a lot of pictures that have some form of emotional undertone. The site is nicely organized and really easy to navigate. FreeStocks Is another good website to try out when you want to find the right picture. They have the site well categorized and tagged so you can find groupings of similar images and they also have a search bar so you can just type and search for pictures. Death to Stock This website provides a different type of service. They email you randomly picked photos on a monthly basis. I’ve been a subscriber for a few years now and they often send out timely photos based on the season or holiday. SplitShire provides free stock photos from photographer Daniel Nanescu for personal or commercial use. Images are incredibly high quality. FoodiesFeed This website provides free realistic food images and digital goods related to food in high resolution. These all are fully available to download for your blog posts, articles, websites, templates, mobile apps, backgrounds or just any kind of design. If you want to find a good image for your food related article, this is definitely the website to visit.
