You guys have asked me a bunch of times how to update and install new maps on the Garmin Echomap Plus, UHD and CHIRP units (models such as the 93sv, 95sv, 73sv, 75sv etc.) so today, that's exactly what we're going to do! It can be a little tricky understanding what kind of maps are available, what is Bluechart, Lakevu, Lakemaster, G3 and how do we find the maps. Are any of these maps free like the software updates and how exactly do we install the maps? I'll run you through how mapping companies and Garmin co-exist, how to use the Garmin Express software to register your devices and download maps and much more! At one point I even run in to an issue while shooting the tutorial, so we put in a call directly to Garmin support to get some additional answers and we find out how their free map upgrades work and a few extra bits of information we need to know.
