We left Apalachicola NF and headed down to Ochlocknee River SP. We were planning to find more free camping, but since we were waiting to fill up the water in our camper and we were wanting to celebrate anniversaries and my birthday, we figured it would be easier to get a spot at a State Park and explore the area a bit. We ended up calling Ochlocknee River State Park and they said they had 2 campers leave early and to come on by for a spot. Once we were there we let them know we wanted to stay Thursday through Monday and that we were willing to switch spots if needed, but there was no need, we were able to get a spot and stay all weekend! We aren’t really campground people, but if we do choose to stay at one we prefer National Forest or State Parks. Honestly it was such a beautiful park! They had a 30 site campground with 3 accessible sites - 50 amp service, water hookups, fire ring, picnic tables, and clothesline. While we were there we visited Bald Point State Park Carrabelle (you have to eat at Fathoms if you are ever there!) Panama City (sadly most antique shops I wanted to stop in were closed Sunday) We had whataburger for the first time! T.H.
