Where to Eat in San Diego Ocean Beach. In this video I highlight every restaurant we visited while staying in Ocean Beach San Diego. There is such a wide variety of restaurants in this area- each one delicious with a unique vibe. This video is sure to leave you hungry! If you are staying in the Ocean Beach area, and wondering where to eat, this is the video for you! Mike's Taco Club is right near the beach on the corner of Abbott St and Newport Ave. Their tacos are hefty and filled with goodness! Most people take these tacos to go or eat on the patio. They also have a great selection of local beer and their patio is dog friendly. Right across the street from Mike's Taco Club is lighthouse ice cream. This is the perfect location for ice cream for all the beachgoers. This location specializes in their waffle ice cream sandwiches and it smells so delicious! We stopped in for an ice cream sandwich for dessert. The OB Noodle Bar 1502 is a lively happening spot featuring delicious asian-fusion food with a slightly different menu from the main OB Noodle Bar in San Diego. Their enclosed patio is dog friendly. We ate their for lunch with the family and enjoyed a drink from their large beer menu. Try the summer shrimp appetizer with your meal! Hodad's is a MUST EAT while in Ocean Beach. This is the original location, and while the restaurant is small, they have built a patio outside the restaurant for additional seating. Their burgers are the biggest ones I've ever seen. They've even converted the driver seat of a VW bus into a table for two! Newbreak cafe is right across the street from the main beach and is the perfect spot for breakfast after a walk on the beach. They have a wide variety of breakfast items to choose from including many vegetarian options. We ate their on more than one occasion. The açaí bowl was fresh and delicious! Pizza Port has the best lunch deal in all of San Diego featuring locally brewed beer and pizza slices on the cheap! There are several locations around San Diego. This was a great lunch item for the family! The template was the most unique coffee shop I've ever visited which is considered an art cafe and event center. It's worth a visit to witness the bar made from a piano and the unique decor. The service was super friendly as well! You can find the template on Newport Ave just up the street from the OB Pier. Raglans caught our attention with the nicely decorated patio and frequent visitors. This restaurant specializes in New Zealand food with 100% grass fed beef! We tried a selection of delicious items on their patio as our last stop on the food tour. I recommend you get the shoestring fries for the family to share and try the soup and sammie!
