At the minimum, wave one will not break the scalpers. Which is unfortunate. A few weeks ago, I thought it would. But it won’t. It probably won’t (but hopefully will by wave 2 or 3) We have those three strong chase cards we can’t beat down yet. They are holding stronger than anticipated. I predict a loose Charizard pack fresh hitting around 90$ in the near future if you’re looking to buy loose. I don’t see it going much lower than that. Gold Star Umbreon and Golden Mew are the next big ticket holders. I don’t see them diminishing either. Will they drop a bit? Umbreon could hit 40$’s. Mew? Hard to say if that one will hit below 50$. I don’t think so, at least during wave one. I can’t say just yet. With the cards in English having terrible print quality, difficult pull rates, and difficulty finding product in store in general, casual people will leave the hobby slowly. This will lead to non heavy hitter slabs going for cheap, modern collection sell offs on eBay and local marketplaces, but that’s a topic for another day.
