Mouthpieces, L-R as they’re arranged in the case: 1. Vintage Unknown Maker Custom Shallow Double cup, .664-ish, 34 throat - used for difficult commercial work, extending endurance, playing hot solos on mic, I can really “Go For It” on this piece! 2. (Only briefly mentioned at the end) Vennture “Lēde” LV2 Shallow V cup with undercut 28 top (Around .655, feels slightly smaller), paired with Custom KTCM “28-32” Backbore Based on Ken’s #1 Backbore shape. - Used for playing 2nd Trumpet in Musical Theatre environments- very accurate articulation and good blending tone whilst being bright- LOTS of control. 3. Bob Reeves Vintage “2” rim on Bob Reeves “Zinger” 42 underpart - Used for difficult legit music. 4. Bob Reeves “42” rim on Vintage 2S 692 underpart with “4” shank, poorly drilled 27 throat. (This underpart will be retired or sold or traded or given away- it’s damaged unfortunately- poorly drilled out- the “42” rim will be kept and put on a soon-to-arrive 42D underpart, which is in good condition.)- just a placeholder, for the moment. 5. Schilke Custom 13B3B 28-throat - Used for bright innovative small group jazz. 6. Vintage Purviance Los Angeles Purviance 5*3 W/Possibly doctored(?) super soft rim. -Used for playing really tasty and relaxed jazz solos, not really for playing way above high C.
