Today I am going to show you how to use markers to stamp. I have done this in the past with expensive markers but I was wondering if the Crayolas that are one sale for under $1 at Target and Wal*Mart this time of year would also work. Well, guess what, they worked great! I was able to create nearly the same looks with 2 packs of crayola markers that I bought for a buck. The only trouble I had was that the Crayolas did not come in the lovely sophisticated shades that the Tombow, Marvy, Distress and Memento markers came in BUT I grabbed a ceramic tile and used it as a palette so I could mix any color I liked from the basic colors in the set. I love this idea because I can bring these basic colors with me and mix if need be saving space and weight in my crafting bag. I also mixed colors directly on the rubber. If my markers got contaminated with another color I scribbled them off on a scrap of paper, You can also find larger assortment of colors from Crayola but they are more expensive but not nearly as pricey as watercolor markers made for crafters and artists. They are great fun ti play with too! It might be a better idea to by the art markers for scrapbooks and stuff you want to make sure does not fade over time but for cards that may be tossed later these fit the bill and my wallet!
