The Dubai Frame is an iconic structure located in Zabeel Park, Dubai. It is an observatory, museum, and monument that holds the record for the largest frame in the world, with a height of 150.24 meters and a width of 95.53 meters. The building mainly serves as an observatory, providing views of old Dubai in the north and newer parts in the south. The landmark celebrates Dubai's history, from its humble beginnings to its current glamor and prestige. The Dubai Frame was designed by architect Fernando Donis, who won an international competition held by the Dubai government. The structure is created out of glass, steel, aluminum, and reinforced concrete with designs of the logo of Expo 2020 embedded on the outer facade. Despite its impressive design, the Dubai Frame is also controversial, as Donis maintains he did not receive a contract or payment for his work and sued the municipality for stealing his intellectual property.
