Here's a little video about one of the most common Elapids in the Townsville region, the Lesser Black Whip Snake (Demansia vestigiata). This snake had a close interaction with a dog and lost the tip of it's tail. This was one of the luckier snakes as dogs usually inflict mortal wounds on snakes after such interactions.
