Before The Storm - Dji Osmo Pocket Cinematic 4K Quite often when the weather isn't looking great we choose to not go outside to film. But filming in stormy weather can create unique opportunities and allow us to capture some dramatic, cinematic shots. This was one of those days where I was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time. With my Osmo Pocket in hand, I ventured out into the wilderness. After an hour or so of filming, a big storm started to roll in and it started to rain. But instead of packing up, I decided to keep on filming and the landscape began to transform into something spectacular! The storm clouds over the mountains, the rain on the horizon and the wind in the grass created a moody, surreal atmosphere. With sounds of thunder all around me, I focused on filming smooth glide shots using creative camera-angles. I managed to shoot enough footage to put this edit together, before the rain got too heavy and I headed home. For smooth slow-motion, I shot everything in 4K 60 and edited the footage on a 4K 25 FPS timeline. The FPV footage was also shot with my Dji Action 2 in D-Cinelike, so the footage matches nicely when colour-graded in Davinci Resolve 18.
