The best way to anchor a kayak using the quick release DIY no holes system. This demonstration is done with the Old Town 106 Sportsman Powered By Minn Kota ( http://bit.ly/oldtown_sportsman_radre... ) in saltwater. I also use this same set up on my Predator PDL. This is the perfect method for anchoring a kayak in areas where there's current or the possibility of encountering large waves. The quick release system is designed to allow the user to quickly separate the kayak from the line when danger is present. DIY Quick Release Anchor Parts Needed 1. 1/4" to 3/8" thick rope 2.
