For more info on my hunting / camping / survival knives - http://store.goughcustom.com/ I've been wanting to test some new blade coatings for a while now, and after months of talking to various suppliers I was finally able to line up the ultra-high-tech PVD coatings that I really wanted to try! In this video I put a number of different blade coatings head-to-head through a variety of wear tests and corrosion resistance tests to decide which coating I will use on my knives going forward! I was able to test 6 different blade coatings including: DLC, WCC, WCC+CrN, CrN, Cerakote and Satin finished A2. DLC - Diamond-Like Carbon (w/ CrN underlayer) WCC - Tungsten-Carbide Carbon WCC+CrN - Tungsten-Carbide Carbon (w/ CrN underlayer) CrN - Chromium Nitride Hope you guys enjoy the tests!
