This wonderful Open Weave Crochet Stitch is easy and quick to work up.  It's open fabric looks like it has been woven. And when this stitch is worked in multiple colours as I do in this tutorial below, it gives off a wonderful plaid vibe.  The fabric is not solid by any means, but it is similar on both sides.  This makes it a great candidate for a variety of projects such as shawls, blankets and market bags - some of my favourite!
