"Tigrex" is a Flying Wyvern introduced in Monster Hunter Freedom 2. It is a large, quadrupedal wyvern known for its massive head, powerful limbs, and striking yellow and blue stripes. Its head features horn-like ears, and its segmented tail ends with a spiny protrusion. Although it has wings, Tigrex uses its evolved forelegs to run at high speeds and is more likely to glide than fly. It has powerful lungs that produce concussive roars capable of damaging nearby objects. Unlike many monsters, Tigrex does not use elemental attacks; it relies on brute strength and its roar to defeat opponents. In combat, Tigrex tries to intimidate foes with a loud roar. When the fight intensifies, it will flush blood to its limbs and head, making its skin glow bright red to further scare off attackers.
