As an Interventionist, it's important to meet the needs of my students where they are at. My job is to utilize what I know about the Science of Reading and plug that knowledge into the Orton-Gillingham Approach, which are the steps needed to teach systematic and explicit phonics. In this video I'm using UFLI, however for the Word Work section, I'm incorporating 95% Group. Students are using the tap it, map it, and graph it technique while manipulating their sound chips and writing letters to form words.
