In today's video, we will review Bani Gala. Generally, when people hear the name of Bani Gala, they get the impression that it is one of the posh settlements of Islamabad, but the reality is actually the opposite. Bani Gala is a rural settlement adjacent to the city of Islamabad, which is famous for being the residence of Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and former Prime Minister Imran Khan. Bani Gala, which became famous because of Imran Khan, was initially a habitato f Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, whose residence is still here, but later, Imran Khan's permanent residence became the reason for the fame of Bani Gala, and soon this place became the center of the elite class of Islamabad, where the trend of farmhouses flourished and is still under construction at a rapid pace. However, there is still a lack of development as there is no development except the “Korang Road” and the road leading to the former Prime Minister's House due to the threat of illegal constructions over Bani Gala. Even in this area, there is no adequate drainage system and gas facilities have not reached the majority of the areas, but the markets here are not less than the markets of a big city where all the necessities of life are available. Due to the rugged architecture on the hilltops, Bani Gala reflects the beautiful views of nature along with the peaceful way of life and this is also one of the reasons for its rapid settlement due to which people from other parts of the country outnumbered the local population. Here are some scenes of the natural beauty of Bani Gala that I have been trying to capture on camera while sitting on the rooftop of my residence. The main road of Bani Gala is known as Jinnah Road and is densely populated on both sides. In my previous video, I went to Abpara through the “Korang Road” from Bani Gala, in today's video, we entered Bani Gala through the same road and passed through Jinnah Road to the other side i.e. Chak Shehzad Road from Dairy Farm spot. Entering from “Korang Road”, this road leads to Imran Khan's residence and on the same road is Imran Khan Chowk, from where the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Imran Khan's Chief of Staff Shehbaz Gill was arrested some time ago. This footage on your screen is exactly of that location. Passing the check post seen at this point, if going up the hill, it will lead towards Imran Khan's residence, while turning right; one can go towards Bani Gala's main market, colonies and Jinnah Road. As far as my experience of staying in Bani Gala is concerned, I think if you want to escape from the city crowd and enjoy the natural beauty of Islamabad, there is no other beautiful and peaceful settlement like this. While living in a big city, you can enjoy the scenic views on the one hand and the village life on the other hand and if you are lucky like me and your residence is located on a hill then you can feel the same from its terrace like the city of Islamabad is spread like a bedsheet in front of you where you can easily see the city from Quaid-i-e-Azam University to Prime Minister House, Supreme Court, Red Zone, Centaurus Mall, Faisal Mosque. Both the main highways i.e. Park Road and Expressway 75 are approximately 4.9 km from both entrance and exit points of Bani Gala, while Serena Chowk is 10km away and Abpara is 12km away.
