How to Take a Movie on a CANON 5D Mark II - Recording Is Easier Than It Seems

Then you came to the right place. It may not seem obvious (and recording a movie on a 5D is not obvious), but it's easy once you know how. =================================== First, ensure your Canon 5D MKII is set to movies. 1. Go to the menus 2. Go to the 2nd Yellow Wrench secion 3. Go to the Live View/Movie Function Set and enter that 4. Select the first option, LV func. setting and enter that menu 5. Ensure the 3rd option is selected - Stills + Movies With that done, your Canon 5D Mark 2 can now record videos. So how do you do that? It's not using the shutter release (that only takes stills). You ned to do this: 1. Press the Live View button to activate your LCD viewer (the button just to the left of your view finder). 2. To start recording a video, press the Settings/Movie button in the middle of the Quick Control dial (that is the big round scroll wheel on the bottom right side of your camera back) And that is. In Live View (the only mode you can record videos), the setting button on the Quick Control will start and stop videos. I hope this helps you record videos on your Canon 5D MK2.
