This webinar was held on May 17th, 2022. Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders are the fastest growing racial group in the United States, but rarely are intentional conversations had regarding what lies at the intersections of race, ethnic identity, gender, and sexual violence. Even less frequently are discussions of what justice in regards to experiences of sexual violence means or looks like. Join UCI CARE and the Asian Mental Health Project for a candid panel discussion on what it means to be Asian American in an era of #MeToo, clashing cultures, and continued violence. Featured panelists include: Charlotte Nguyen (she/her), a spiritual/transformational coach, trauma-informed healer for BIPOC, and founder of Get Free. Danielle Espinosa (she/they), AMFT/APCC. Her research and clinical passions focus on interpersonal trauma and API/AAPI survivors. Derek Wu (he/him), a university prevention education professional with a background in Asian American studies.
