My shave of the day today was one that made me very happy because, as you well know, sandalwood is my favorite scent. My soap of the day today is by phoenix artisan accoutrements and their sandalwood classic shaving soap. My pre-shave today was by Prorasso in the red and their Sandalwood, Crema De Barba. I used my Solingen Steel, Dovo 5/8's straight razor, along with a synthetic brush made of Stabalized Burl from Dennis Coluccio of upstate New York. I chose as my aftershave and cologne, a scent that doubles as aftershave and cologne. Sandalwood from P.A.A. as well. This stuff smells wonderful in my opinion and I'm very glad I found it. Afterwards I moisturized with Neutrogena's razor defense post shave lotion for men. It's designed to not only moisturize, but to heal dry skin and instantly soothe razor irritation. all in all, I would say I had a fantastic shave today and am learning more and more when it comes to using my straight razor.
