The REAL Reason Chef Left South Park In the beginning of South Parks long run the show made its debut with 4 iconic characters that are still the main protagonist’s and often times antagonists in the series today. Stan, Kyle, Kenny and of course Cartman are the sole reason for the shows massive success as the four elementary school kids are constantly embarking on some of the most unique adventures in the entirety of television. When you think of South Park, you think of these 4 and it’s been that way ever since 1997. However, back when the show first started, these four young boys were not the only characters that came to mind when the show was brought up. Back then, if you were to ask any fan of the show to name a character from South Park, next in line would be the popular character of Chef. Chef used to play a massive role in South Park as he would very often stand side by side the four boys aiding whatever new journey they were going on.
