$274 Full Body Medical Health Screening @PrinceCourtMedicalCentre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

At the beginning of September I flew from Japan to KL to go for a medical health screening at Prince Court Medical Centre. I’d spent the past 2 months in Japan. For the majority of that time I’ve been preparing my own food - eating salads, no fry ups, stopped drinking alcohol. Have been religiously exercising for 40 minutes every day in my bedroom. And feeling much better physically. I was recommended this full day body screening at this clinic in Kuala Lumpur by one of my viewers. Thank you David, I do pay attention to my viewers comments, criticisms and suggestions. So here I am heading to KL. I was in KL for 6 weeks last year, so I know my way around. Know how to travel from the airport to the city which is 60km away. Again I was staying in KL Sentral, the Brickfields area otherwise known as Little India and heading back to the Metro hotel where I’ve stayed before. The area is pretty shabby and full of er.. Character and characters, but I love this area and would rather stay here than in the busy city. KL Sentral is also convenient for the monorail line which takes you most places you want to go. And also convenient to get to the Airport by bus or train. As a back story to having the medical done .....at the beginning of May this year I flew from Cebu to Boracay. I’d been staying at a condo in Cebu for 3 months and although I’d been swimming daily and going to the gym 3 times a week, I’d spent a lot of time sedentary creating amazing videos for my avid followers. Ha! I’d been cooking for myself, eating probably too many fry ups and drinking too many Sundowners. Just before I left Cebu I started having mobility issues and cramping of my calf muscles, mainly on my right leg. This continued whilst walking in Boracay and also as I was travelling on lengthy bus journeys through Pinay Island and Negros. So on 10th May when I arrived in Dumaguete with my right ankle completely swollen I headed to the hospital there. The Doctor said I might have a blood clot and advised me to have an ultrasound on the lower limbs on both legs. My blood pressure was also high, so she prescribed drugs to reduce the swelling and lower my blood pressure. I wasn’t able to have an ultasound that afternoon and the earliest they could do it was in 5 days time. The Doctor hadn’t really treated my situation with much urgency and the following morning with my swelling gone - rightly or wrongly I decided not to bother with the ultrasound. Over the following 6 weeks by constantly walking daily my mobility improved, but decided to go seek medical advice in Manila at the end of June. At St.Lukes in BGC the cost of seeing a Doctor was 1500 pesos/£20/$26 which is pretty cheap to be fair, but the series of tests I had done was 17k pesos/£230/$302 which is more than the day’s medical screening in KL and also didn’t include any feedback. I was just given the results and another prescription for more blood pressure tablets which was still high. Whilst At St.Luke’s I also asked about having the ultrasound done on my lower limbs and was quoted 28k pesos/£379/$498. By now I was moving pretty freely so thought I’d give that a miss, but thanks for your kind offer St.Luke’s. EQUIPMENT USED: Canon Sureshot G7X Mark II. GoPro HERO9 Black.
