It is the process of cultivating plants without soil. The plants receive nourishment through mineral nutrients dissolved in water, instead of soil. In my previous tutorial, I have already explained how to monitor the soil nutrients like Nitrogen, phosphorus, and Potassium using the NPK Sensor, Arduino, and an Android cell phone application. I will provide a link in the description. Hydroponics is basically growing plants without soil. It is a more efficient way to provide food and water to your plants. Plants don't use soil – they use the food and water that are in the soil. Soil's function is to supply plants nutrients and to anchor the plants' roots.
