Lavish feasts were given in honour of his jubilee attended by the principal Maharajas of Punjab, Kashmir and Rajasthan, as well as personalities of the English crown such as Viceroy Lord Irwin. In addition to entertainment such as garden parties, the main ceremony was that of the durbar during which princes and vassals paid homage to the Maharajah.
