Classic cars at Hopley House - and "why won't it start???"

The recently-launched Hopley House Farm Shop classic car meet a few miles outside of Middlewich in Cheshire was set to take place last weekend, so we made plans and headed over for a look around, although not before having a "why won't it start?" episode before doing so. Who said life with classic cars is a breeze? Not me, that's for sure, best laid plans 'n' all that etc etc. Anyway, we got there following a last-minute substitution, and we were not to be disappointed as loads of enthusiast-owned classic cars made the pilgrimage to Hopley House, and a jolly couple of hours were spent mooching around the exhibiting cars. The oldest I think was a Ford Model A coupe, the newest perhaps being a Lotus Elise. Other gems included dad's MGB, a Shadow II, various Triumph TRs (TR4, 4A, 6), Sunbeam Alpine, Bond Bug (four wheeler conversion), Austin A35, BMW 635CSi, Austin Westminster, Vauxhall Viva HC saloon and Sportshatch, VW Beetle 1302S and quite a few others. Following a leisurely drive back home, some time was spent disassembling things to see whether a reason for our other vehicle's non-starting engine could be determined. There was a good mix of cars at this classic car meet-up and hopefully it'll take place again.
