The positive locking experience inspired Jenn to reflect on how far we’ve come as boaters in the past 7 weeks. We have a short cruise up the Elizabeth River to Portsmouth, VA where we dock at the free city dock. After some boat dock prep, we walk around and explore Portsmouth. It’s a HOT day, so we return to the boat to do some trip planning. That’s where we quickly realize, the Great Loop is all about PERSISTENCE!
