Taal Market and Heritage Park is extremely inspiring and its beauty is truly admirable. Taal was once the capital of the Batangas province. Around the neighborhood is Taal Market, which sells Barong Tagalog and other pia-based products as well as Taal specialties including panutsa, Batangas' version of peanut brittle, suman, and empanada. Taal is also the Philippines' balisong and barong Tagalog capital. Heritage sites are also popular tourist destinations. Although the historic ancestral houses of Taal are beautiful from the outside, most of them do not allow visitors inside. Even in the few houses that are available to the public, reservations and a minimum number of participants are necessary. The Basilica de San Martin de Tours, the largest church in the Orient, is in the heart of Taal Park, flanked by other cultural sites like as the Taal Municipal Government Hall and a number of family residences.
