If you are like us and been following the local news - you must be either angry, shocked, saddened or perhaps feeling all 3 at the recent Low Yat Saga. We are all left wondering how a simple and straightforward petty crime can turn into a brawl and quickly escalated into a riot with great racial overtones. We questioned again and again, what sorry state have our beloved nation digressed into? But then we came to a sense of realisation that all these is futile. The country has enough angry people. The country have enough spectators who add destructive comments and oil to the fire, and many opportunists would use such news to their OWN advantage. We should come together. We, who have a voice (and critical thinking) should raise it for the betterment of the country! And since negatives news permeates our facebook feed ever so often, may we propose something against the grain? What if we re-record Sejahtera Malaysia (which we have done) and collectively share #sejahteramalaysia2015 it online (we are asking you to do so too)? Hopefully it will also dominate and saturate our social media feeds with a glimmer of hope even for just a while? At the very least we give everyone something positive to share. While at it, we should also at least expect to harness a share of the herd mentality of the "easily impressionable kind". Filled them with positive influence and pray and hope it will create a ripple effect.
