To watch with commentary, please click here:    • [Commentary] Batman Forever (SNES) an...   This is a pretty great run of Batman Forever with Robin on hard difficulty. I explain a lot about this run in the commentary, so I won't bother writing it all here. Simply put, the enemies in this game are incredibly random and any battle can cost loads of time. While this run has mistakes, my luck was far above average, and I did a really good job of handling the combat. Lots of really good reads on the situations, and good execution to match it. This run is definitely improvable, but I don't plan to work on it anymore right now. I chose to play as Robin for this run because, even though I hate Robin, he has MUCH more effective gadgets than Batman. The sonic blast weapon (flashlight) is ridiculously effective at setting up reliable grabs on enemies. It is an easy out for dangerous situations, high priority enemies, high aggression enemies, or any other situation where I'm not in a good position to set up a grab otherwise. Batman struggles in ANY of those situations, and that is a really big problem. I might try a Batman run again in the future, but I don't currently plan to. This is a ~4 second improvement over the co-op run I did with Klaige, almost entirely due to the fact that I can do the platforming sections much more recklessly than is possible in co-op. This game IS faster co-op, but would require us to grind it a lot more than we did. I did this run on the SNES version because this is the version I grew up on, and I learned to run this solely for revenge. I hate this game, but I do enjoy playing it now that I can complete it without any difficulty. I do not plan to try the Genesis version. I hope you enjoy the run! Feel free to ask any questions.
