In this video I re-machine the bore of a Girling 70 master cylinder. After finishing the bore I mill the unit in half to reveal a cross section exposing the internal geometry. At the end of the video I re-install the internal components and briefly explain how it functions. This is the old master cylinder from project big MF'er; Massey Ferguson MF30E. Originally I was going to bore the master cylinder out and install a larger piston and seal kit. In researching for rebuild kits I found aftermarket master cylinders were available. I opted to purchase new aftermarket replacement units for the tractor. These old master cylinders were bound for the scrap pile and I thought it would be a good education tool.
