The Deadmines have been reworked several times since the games launch, but have always maintained the pirate aesthetic that allowed them to stand out from other early level dungeons. The first version of The Deadmines was supported by a strong story arc that linked the inhabitants of the dungeon to wrong doings against them in Stormwind, which ultimately provoked them into retaliation. The Deadmines are a series of mining tunnels that run deep underneath Westfall and just barley touches elbows with Stranglethorn Vale, before ending in a massive underground cave where you will find a equally large pirate ship. This current version of The Deadmines feels like minimal effort was put forth into it's creation, quite a sad looking place really, considering this is suppose to be an early taste of dungeon running. Blizzard needs to bring back the version from launch with updated character models and also needs to restore the portion of the mining tunnels that lead to the instance itself, as they are filled with friendly NPC's and before were filled with hostiles.
