Discover the Spectacular Wildlife of Bempton Cliffs!

My trip to Bempton Cliffs to photograph the sea birds started off on the Friday morning, arriving very early in the pouring rain, and a quick walk down to the cliffs before getting absolutely soaked sorrows returning to the RSPB Bempton cliffs nature reserve cafe for a hot drink and a bite to eat. As the day wore on the weather cleared up and the sun came out so we headed back down to the cliffs to start looking for the Gannets, puffins and other sea birds to video and photograph. After a few hours, we decided to head back and go to our accommodation to unpack the car unsettling for the evening ready for an early start on Bempton cliffs in the morning. 6:30 AM we were out the door and heading towards bempton cliffs looking for puffins Gannett's, fulmars, kittiwakes, guillemots, and many more other sea birds to video and photograph today. We walked up and down Benton cliffs for several hours covering a good few miles but still, we did not see any puffin's however we got some wonderful photos and videos of the birds in the area. In the evening we headed out into the countryside to photograph some barn owls standing on the edge of a field, we were treated to a ball now flying over our heads and hunting in the field which managed to catch a mouse or vole three times within around 15 minutes each time taking its prey back to the nest obviously for its young. Sunday morning and the fog rolled in meaning that a trip to Bempton cliffs early in the morning was out of the question so he decided to head out to Tophill low nature reserve run by Yorkshire Water. A lovely small reserve with plenty going on from kingfishers to marsh frogs herons and Marsh Harris there was plenty to photograph and see at this reserve today. Later in the afternoon, we met a couple that had just returned from Bempton cliffs telling us that the fog had cleared and it was now sunny so he decided to jump in the car and head back for an evening at Bempton cliffs before heading home tomorrow and one last chance to try and find and photograph the puffins. All in all a fantastic three days of bird photography on the Yorkshire East Coast photographing some of Yorkshire's finest wildlife on the sea cliffs. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PHOTOGRAPHIC EQUIPMENT USED Canon R5 Canon R6 Canon R7 https://amzn.to/41jeNcw Canon rf 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L Canon EF 70 -200mm f2.8 IS III L Canon RF 85mm f1.2L USM DS Lens Canon RF 1.4 x convertor Smallrig Camara cage x3 Benro Tortoise 24CLV Tripod ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ SOCIAL MEDIA & OTHER CONTACTS TO SUPPORT MY WORK CONTACT ME [email protected] WEBSITE https://www.wildlifephotographeruk.co.uk FACEBOOK   / wildlifephotographeruk   INSTAGRAM   / wildlifephotographeruk   TWITTER   / ashleyjbarnard   ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Other items used, and in my Kit Sony ICD-TX660 - Digital Voice Recorder: https://amzn.to/40OeG8a Benro Gh5c Gimbal Head: https://amzn.to/3TGYgLs Benro Tortoise 24CLV Tripod https://amzn.to/3DGLLJ9 Self Adhesive Camouflage: https://amzn.to/3SkqWsp Rain Poncho: https://amzn.to/3VN8Bal Camera Battery Case: https://amzn.to/3VOFtQ8 Tripod Stool: https://amzn.to/3eW2sIr Camouflage scrim: https://amzn.to/3z3rdt4
