I made a simple circular saw cutting guide that serves both as a straight cutting guide as well as a crosscut jig. The build is solid, it doesn't cost much, you'll need a circular saw to build it and you can use it for a lot of workshop projects. The cutting guide lets you cut straight cuts, cross cuts, small pieces and other. You will need only few things to make this simple DIY tool - plywood, aluminum angles and a circular saw. The circular saw guide is simple to make and it will help you with many projects. Watch the entire video for a step by step guide how to make such a circular saw cutting jig. I started out by cutting the plywood for the saw guide. Designed the jig and cut off wood surplus to make the saw guide lighter. Cut 2 aluminum angles - one that serves for straight long cuts and the other one for crosscuts. I used a two sided tape and screws to fix the angles and made sure the angles are at 90°.
