I don't actually know all that much about Evangelion, but the ever awesome Yandere Dev introduced this song to me, and I really like it! The choice to have the music cut out for the very end wasn't so much a stylistic choice as it was just to get rid of the loud metronome sound that the instrumental had there, but I guess you could interpret it as a unique way to end the song too! :P I hope you enjoy the cover!
