In this video, we will cover the concepts of Molecular, Ionic, and Net Ionic equations. These equations are written for double replacement reactions, which generally result in the formation of at least one precipitate. To identify the precipitate formed, we need to refer to the solubility table. The Molecular Equation is the balanced double replacement reaction between two ionic compounds, including their products, with their state symbols. The Ionic Equation shows the dissociation of ions in the double replacement reaction. It's important to note that the precipitate, or solid form, does not dissociate and remains together as an ionic compound in its solid form. The Net Ionic Equation represents the reaction in which the reactive ions combine to form the precipitate.
