In Arunachal numerous unknown places are waiting to be discovered if surveyed from tourism point of view. Taksing under Upper Subansiri district located along Indo-China (Tibet) border gave a pleasant surprise with huge potentials for adventure and religious tourism when a high level team led by Chief Minister Pema Khandu toured the area. The team included Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, local MLA-cum-Tourism Minister Nakap Nalo, Lok Sabha member Tapir Gao and Rajya Sabha member Thakor Jugal Lokhandwala, among others. The area is famous for Tsari pilgrimage. The pilgrims travel through 3-km traditional foot track along the southern bank of the river between Gelensiniak and Taksing up to Ishneya village to cross the river to its northern bank. This is close to confluence of Yume Chu and Subansiri Rivers, tracks from Lung (in Subansiri valley) and Yume (in Yume Chu valley) in Tibet join here. Tha Nahs are one of the lesser known tribes of Arunachal Pradeah who live in the Taksing circle of Upper Subansiri, near the Mc Mohan Line. The Nahs belong to four clans of Chader, Hafi, Tisi and Hari. They are settled in five villages of 1. Esnaya, 1&2(within Taksing village/town), 2. Gumsing-Tayeng, 3. Kacha 4. Redin 5. Redi. The Nahs speak Abotani language similar to dialect of Nacho Tagins and Damin, Koloriang and Pipsorang Nyishi dialects. Infact, the Nahs, the Tagins of Nacho and Nyishi’s of Damin, Koloriang have common dialect and similar culture. The matrimonial relations are also entered between these communities. The Nahs are a very small community and precariously settled in border villages. Till two years back, there was no road connectivity to the area. Their villages are one of the remotest and most difficult to access. Since, they are wedged between two bigger tribes of Tagin and Nyishi, they have adapted to cross culture. They are listed under Tagin tribe in their ST certificate. Video Courtesy - Zaktum Notko Information on Nah's - Dani Sulu
