Leigh Trevail Cine Archive (036v2): A Gathering of Veteran & Vintage Vehicles

Since uploading 036 to YouTube another piece of silent footage has come to light. In turn that linked in with another film I had already uploaded on the Eastern Counties Motor Club Historic Cine channel. This gathering of veteran & vintage enthusiasts is from a time when such vehicles were not purchased as an investment but for the sheer enjoyment of maintaining and driving it. The owners themselves were viewed as rather eccentric characters by the general public. Thrown in the mix was a short Driving Test for more modern vehicles, The lady in the Dellow is Iris Westwood. The date and venue is unknown, the railway, the trains on it, the viaduct and the house are the best clues for the location. However, it is possible that it was not all shot on the same day. PS It is fairly certain that the venue is Chelmsford's Central Park.
