If I have to make 18th century stays, I surely won’t make it easy for myself! I’m using the Simplicity 8579 Misses’ 18th Century Corset, Shift and Panniers pattern by American Duchess, and I wanted to make it out of some beautiful fabric, but when I couldn’t find anything to my liking, I decided to paint it myself. Ps.: Before filming the reveal, I didn’t have time to make a shift, so please excuse my anachronistic underpinnings.
