Zoo Tycoon 2 is a tycoon management game developed by Blue Fang Games and published by Microsoft for Windows in 2004. Similar to it's predecessor, Zoo Tycoon, Zoo Tycoon 2 expands upon the original in several ways. The first and most noticeable new feature is that the game is in full 3D as opposed to isometric 2D. With this change came the much loved ability to walk your zoo in first person, allowing to get up close with the animals, and enjoy the zoo as a visitor. Other changes included the addition of a challenge mode (which allowed players to build a zoo using money, and offering players the ability to unlock extra content), shorter and separate campaigns (as opposed to the single but long campaign in the first game) and a true sandbox mode where money was no object and everything (minus unlockable content) was available from the start. The base gmae included 30 animals and about 6 campaigns. However, the popularity of the game lead to the creation of a whopping 4 expansion packs, twice that of the first game. These included Endangered Species (which added rare and endangered wildlife to the game, as well as some new campaigns, cable car rides, and jeep tours), African Adventure (which added jeep tours and 20 new species of African wildlife), Marine Mania (which added aquatic life, the ability to build aquariums, and 2 new campaigns), and the last expansion, Extinct Animals, which added dinosaurs and other extinct wildlife to the game. Zoo Tycoon 2 is hailed by many as the last good entry to the series, and that's not too far off, with Zoo Tycoon for the Xbox One and 360 being more or less a flop, and the newer Zoo Tycoon Friends having been shut down sometime ago. This video features most of the music from the game (the dino rampage music is missing because it's a loop track and not a full song). Despite the picture used, this video does not include the remade menu music from the Ultimate Collection as I do not own that version. The picture was chosen because the music from the base game as well as all four expansions is included.
