To get to a really new design of hang glider needs needs new methods and new tools. Please support me in developing these through my new Patreon page here: / hgdev The repository of the design and analysis tools so far is here: https://gitlab.com/HG-dev Hang glider design has come on massively over the years, however the last major advance was now over a quarter of a century ago with the first topless gliders in the late 1990s. Since then although there's been clear improvements in hang glider design, these are incremental and now in a zero sum, trading off performance against handling. To get to a really new design needs new methods and new tools, I'm aiming to use these to develop a truly new 7th generation glider. This is the first of what will be a series of more technical videos describing the design process. Thank you for additional video footage to (in order of appearance), Joyce and Tony Swait, Pete Attley and BBC Look North. Thank you for technical work (so far!) to Jonathan Howes, Julian Todd, Richard Hunt, Jeremy Soper and Sean CT.
