King Crimson - Elephant Talk (Drums Only)

An isolated drum take of "Elephant Talk" by King Crimson from their 1981 album "Discipline". Bill Bruford is probably my biggest drumming influence, and Discipline is my favourite KC album. Robert Fripp insisted that he not use any hi-hats on this album so he chose to use Octobans instead for most of the 16th note rhythm duties. This provided a lot of space in the frequency spectrum for the intricate, overlapping Guitar work. My drum cover version was unfortunately blocked worldwide by KC's management. I think it's ridiculous when companies like these aggressively scour YouTube and block cover videos. People put a lot of time and effort into making them so it should be classed as "fair use" for educational purposes. The copyright holder still receives all of the ad revenue and it only helps to promote the music to a wider audience. Thankfully most copyright holders allow cover videos on YT. Not Aviator Management GmbH, though.
