For those of you wanting to trim your beard with precision for that clean, crisp, fresh out of the barber look, this is the beard trimmer for you. And to show you the detail this Wahl trimmer can bring, I'm trimming down my beard to a chin strap. At a price point of only $59 on Amazon, this stainless steel Wahl Lithium Ion Plus trimmer is reasonably priced for the quality it brings. Its self-sharpening, finely ground cutting blades pack superior cutting performance for a finer quality trim every time. While the Philips Norelco Multigroom 3000 has similar attachments to the Wahl Lithium Ion Plus and can be found at the bargain price of only $19.95 on Amazon, the Wahl feels like a higher class of trimmer. That said, each trimmer can be looked at as having their own use case. While the Philips Norelco Multigroom 3000 is a great everyday beard trimmer for getting the job done, the Wahl is more of a precision machine. With the array of beard and hair trimming attachments provided, those looking to create a detailed, custom look, with crisp, tight lines and fades would find this trimmer a must. Not to say that the Philips Norelco Multigroom 3000 can’t trim with precision, but there’s a reason why Wahl has been used by professionals since 1919 and why the barbers I frequent have Wahl branded trimmers at the ready. Similar to the Philips Norelco Multigroom 3000, where the Wahl Lithium Ion Plus Trimmer stands out is with the precision trimmer attachment. At only a quarter inch, this is one of the smallest beard trimming profiles I’ve come across and is great at fitting into those tight spaces for detailing your beard with ease. Overall, I’m impressed with the results of this stainless steel all-in-one trimmer. The Wahl Lithium Ion Plus is quality made and a precision and detail machine that gets the job done. It's not as full featured as a similarly priced Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000, but it makes up for this with the superior performance of its cutting blades.
