This is a fusion between Kraid's Lair and the Red Soil themes from Metroid and Super Metroid, respectively. It's also a fusion of electronic and orchestral / choral composition. Not a standard techno remix, but more like how I would score a Metroid movie, if there was one hehe. I wanted to keep the foreboding and mysterious tone of the originals, but give it more of a film score edge and an active feel. It gets more intense toward the end.
