MAGIC Webinar: USGS 3D Elevation Program

For this webinar, we are pleased to bring you Xan Fredericks and George Heleine of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) for a presentation to update us on the 3D Elevation Program. Tune in for the latest developments in the availability and provisioning of LiDAR data in Tennessee and the surrounding region. Different 3DEP lidar deliverable products and potential use cases for lidar will be discussed during this presentation. Online tools to help develop proposals and compare with existing data requirements, such as the U.S. Interagency Elevation Inventory and the Public Areas of Interest Project Collector Tool, will be used to show where data are available and in progress for the Nation in general, and specifically Tennessee, as well as encourage collaboration to build new partnerships to produce LiDAR-derived elevation data. Xan Fredericks works with the USGS as the National Map Liaison to Florida, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands for the National Geospatial Program. She is currently serving the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) as the GIS Division Director and the President of the Florida Region, and is also serving on the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA) Board of Directors. George Heleine works with the USGS as the National Map Liaison to Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee for the National Geospatial Program User Engagement Office.
