I had the honor of sitting behind Tori Kelly at Lestat's during the Jane Lui/Jesse Barrera/AJ Rafael show. Tori went up and performed Justin Bieber's "Under The Mistletoe" and "Without You" with AJ Rafael. I asked if she would perform "Mess We've Made," which was one of my favorite songs. She told me she had just arrived at the venue and hadn't rehearsed but she would be down nonetheless to do it. And I'm so glad they decided to do it! I talked to her after the show and she said she thought of me and my friends when AJ asked if she would perform it. The song is incredible live and their vocals were just as good, if not better than the album version on AJ's "Red Roses" album. Each and every person I met who performed on that stage were incredibly kind and humble. I was so inspired and motivated by all of them. I aspire to be just as happy and successful in the future doing what I love as they do with their music.
