Axminster Craft AC200BDS Belt / Disc Sander Unboxing -and Setup

In this video I unbox a brand new Axminster Craft AC200BDS Combined Belt and Disc Sander, put it together and share with you some initial thoughts. The sander has a 200mm disc which is much more professional and it is combined with a 100mm belt sander which can be positioned horizontally, vertically or at an angle as you will see in the video. The unit is designed to be bench mounted and has a 550W induction motor which is very powerful for its size. As for dust collection the port is 63mm in diameter and ideally suited for the the smaller workshop. In the video I had the unit connected to my shop vac and there was virtually no dust from the machine. Only when I was pushing hard and attempted to stall the motor did any dust escape on the table. The two cast iron tables are well made, but the belt unit is secured on only one side and you need to take care to fully tighten the bolt before resting your workpiece on the table. This is a very capable unit. In a few weeks I might return to this machine and complete a full review. You can find the unit at Axminster Tools and Machinery: https://www.axminster.co.uk/axminster... If you want to check out the specification, assembly instructions and other details, such as changing the belt and disc, then the manual link is below: https://www.axminster.co.uk/media/dow...
