This is our mud home in early 2021. Up until this point, the wooden frame was built by a local artisan, and the walls were built by the community during a one-day big celebration called a Junta de Embarra (more to come on this!). This is before Kristina builds an all-natural addition to the mud home in 2021 and 2022, merging her engineering background with traditional techniques from around the world. See what our home looked like before we completely transformed it! Mud homes are highly sustainable and excellent for health if done properly.
