In this video, I take you through the basics of Adobe Premiere Pro from the very beginning. We'll start with creating a project and importing footage, all the way through basic editing, short-cuts, adding B-roll and music, using transitions, and exporting the finished project. I walk through the following features and tools: importing media (navigating the Media Browser, selecting file formats, and organizing clips into bins), creating a sequence and building a timeline (setting sequence settings, adding clips to the timeline, and managing track layers), basic editing skills (cutting, trimming, and rearranging clips), video transitions (cross dissolves and fades), adding a text box (using the type tool, customizing fonts and colors within the Essential Graphics panel), and an overview of exporting media (choosing the right format, adjusting resolution and bitrate, and optimizing for different platforms). At first glance, Premiere Pro can be a little intimidating. However, this step-by-step tutorial will boost your confidence and help you master all your editing projects.
