Traffic logjam was as routine affair at Aziz Cross Gujranwala – the busiest intersection on GT Road at Gujranwala. About 100,000 vehicles pass through it daily. To address the problem, a signal free interchange was approved and the project was awarded to NLC Engineers. The Interchange consists of 3 lane main flyover to facilitate traffic from Rawalpindi, bridge at railways line, additional flyover from Lahore to Gujranwala and double elevated 2 lane flyover to ease traffic from Sialkot Bypass. NLC worked 24/7 and completed the mega project ensuring international standard of works.
