As always, I milled up my own lumber with a chainsaw, this time for the gazebo I'm building. Wood isn't cheap these days, but here in the wilderness it's almost free! As a last effort to find something worth building with the blow-down, Quaking Aspen I decided to give it a try for roofing. It is heavy when wet and splits, cracks and warps when it dries but will it hold up once nailed in place? I've no idea. Time will tell.
