The village of Siya is a charming agricultural village located approximately 55 kilometers off Muscat, affiliated to the willayat of Quriyat. It is a very picturesque and unspolit village, with many date palm groves, falaj irrigation systems, a wadi stream with springs floawing across the village, now deteriorated ancient castle, winding roads & alleyways, and many homes of the villagers. Farms in the village of Siya flourishes with numerous date palms, lemon trees, pomegranate, berries, mangoes, figs, olives, bananas, and many more. Weather is comfortable throughout the year, and the summer time being moderate. The village is bordred on one side by a ranage of mountains called Al Jabal Al Aswad, which forms part of Al Hajar mountain range. It's history is rich, famous for it's weaving profession, and has produced several renowned scholors, and contibuted to literature and poetry considerably. Also, the areas surrounding the village of Siya is habitated by several rare animals such as Arabian Ibex and Gazelles. In an early morning of a crisp clear day, We STOPPED FOR A WHILE at the Village of Siya to embrace the beauty and to appreciate the nature in the area.
